A good teacher is like a candle, consuming itself to light the way for others.
Imagine, just for a second that you arrived at your job this morning to find 20 trainees in your office; each of whom possessed different gifts, had different needs and required different instructions to achieve the desired results.
Imagine that you have been assigned the task of getting all of these, vastly different, trainees prepared to move on to the next level. By the way, you are also expected to entertain these young trainees so that they are never bored and to understand each trainee’s personal situation in such a way that you are sensitive to the minute-by-minute emotional needs of each.
Now imagine that each person in your office had a manager who e-mailed you and called you during the day with questions and suggestions and concerns regarding the guidance you were providing.
Finally, imagine that you are being asked to continue to turn out these top-quality trainees with fewer resources, office space, and materials each year.
That is what a teacher does every day.
The amazing thing is: THEY LOVE IT! And they don’t just love their jobs...they love our kids. Please help show our teachers how important they are to us by participating in this special week of teacher appreciation.
