How to mark your swimmer for the meet.
In year-round swimming, swimmers are marked to help them get to their own events on time. In summer league swimming, swimmers are marked to help the Wranglers get the swimmers where they need to be on time. To make it easier for the Wranglers, please mark your swimmers on their shoulders.
Please note that swimmers are NOT to mark their bodies with anything other than what is in this example. Swimmers are often tempted to write things like "Go Rays!" or "Eat My Bubbles" on their bodies. This is not allowed and swimmers will not be allowed to swim in a relay and may be sent home from the meet for this behavior.
First, you will need to read the heat sheet and find your swimmer's name. You heat sheet will be e-mailed to you the night before the meet.
For this example, we will use Jamie Parkey for the first meet of the year.
Jamie is swimming the the following events:
Event 7, Heat 4, Lane 6, 50 Free
Event 43, Heat 1, Lane 5, 50 Fly
Event 55, Heat 1, Lane 5, 50 Breast
Remember, we do NOT include relays on our swimmer's markings.
So, to mark Jamie's arm I would do the following:

Marking your swimmer is something you can do the night before the meet. It is kind of a fun way to get them excited about their events!
